I am not a big fan of harsh colon cleanse products. I like something that is gentle and yet effective. That’s why I read tons of books and articles on homemade colon cleansing. But a lot of patients that come to the pharmacy ask for easy colon cleanse product in a box.

The biggest advantage of a homemade colon cleansing is that you know how clean and how natural the ingredients are. And that is huge.

A great colon cleanse to me is a safe colon cleanse.

Natural Herbal Colon Cleanse:

When you are looking for a natural herbal colon cleanse and a safe colon cleanse, these are your best ingredients:

  • Burdock root.
  • Dandelion root.
  • Celandine.
  • Beet leaf.
  • Aloe gel.
  • Rhubarb root.
  • Psyllium.
  • Slippery elm.
  • Marshmallow root.
  • Ginger root.
  • Triphala.
  • Natural magnesium salt
  • Fennel seed.

You will need to find at least 80 percent of these ingredients to make a good natural herbal colon cleanse. You can find most of these in your nearest health food store or natural store. Take the ingredients in equal parts. Boil and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Drink at bedtime for best results. Keep refrigerated. Do not keep the product for more than 48 hours.

Homemade Colon Cleanse:

3 Day Colon Cleanse.

Day 1.

Light enema on the empty stomach. Then, drink 2 ounces (50-60ml) of lemon and garlic (that was prepared from last night) one hour before first meal. During the day you can drink a lot of water and freshly squeezed tomato juice up to 7 ounces (200ml). You need to drink a lot of kefir, but it has to be freshly made from the night before. You can make it yourself from the kefir starter culture. Drink up to 2 quarts (about 2 liters) of kefir.

Day 2.

Light enema on the empty stomach. Drink 2 ounces of lemon and garlic the same way as the day one. During the day you can drink freshly squeezed apple juice or a mixed veggie juice (mix freshly squeezed cabbage, carrot, potato, cucumber and tomato juice). You can drink a lot of this juice.

Day 3.

Drink lemon and garlic mixture (about 2 ounces or 50ml) on the empty stomach. One hour later, you can have a very light breakfast. On day three, you can eat only fruits and vegetables, but not mixed together. Drink up to 3 quarts of water during the entire day.

Make sure that you do not overeat the following day. You have to gradually come back to your regular diet. Hopefully your diet is healthy one. This homemade colon cleanse can be repeated up to two times a month.

Colon Cleanse Effects:

Colon cleansing effects people differently. If your colon is congested with pounds of fecal matter that means you are toxic. If you are toxic, it will be more difficult for you to tolerate effective colon cleanse. It also means that you will need to repeat colon cleanse more often.

Basically, to get full colon cleanse effects means to have energy, normal bowel movements and stamina. But sure enough you need to continue with healthy diet, exercise, relaxation techniques, etc.
