Reply To Colitis Medications.
by: Inna

I know how you feel. At least now more side effects are reported and included in the side effect profile comparing to when I was taking biologicals like Remicade.

The side effects are pretty bad but don't effect everyone. Whether you want to continue your colitis medications is up to you and your doctor. Most conventional doctors will warn you than chronic, untreated inflammation for many years leads to bigger problems like colon cancer or other problems.

If you want to continue the therapy is up to you. I know you are scared. But there's another way to approach wellness. I discovered Functional Medicine and invested in the great clinical training. I am a Functional Medicine Practitioner along with being a registered pharmacist and could try to help you in a more naturopthic way. Basically, no side effects. This approach is Ok to combine with regular conventional medications most of the time.

I can have phone consultaions with you and send you some lab kits home. And the rest I can explain during consultation. If you wish you can leave you information on my CONTACT US page and we will schedule an appointment for you.

All the best to you.

Asacol - Treatment Ulcerative Colitis
by: Anonymous

Yes I have used Asacol. I did not have any problem with it. I got it online at International Drug Mart. Mesalamine is an aminosalicylate anti-inflammatory drug used to prevent the recurrence of ulcerative colitis and also the maintenance of remission.
