Here Are The Best Diarrhea Remedies For FAST Relief!

Did you know that about 5 percent of people in the US have a loose bowel movement at any given time. That is one in every 20 people...

When a person has a suspicious diarrhea they usually see a doctor, right?

Conventional medical treatment is looking to correct the cause of diarrhea (if possible), and help with loose stools.

Chronic diarrhea can have a serious effect on the quality of life and overall health.

Chronic diarrhea is a part of many Crohn's disease patients.

That is exactly why I was always looking for more than just traditional medicine. I wanted to repair my whole digestive system. And I did just that by introducing a holistic approach into my life.

Chronic diarrhea is usually defined as loose stools that last for at least 4 to 6 weeks. It usually occurs more than 2 times daily.

Loose bowel movement can be a symptom of chronic disorders like Crohns disease, Ulcerative colitis, Celiac disease, Irritable bowel syndrome, and more.

Treatment of chronic diarrhea should be a very serious and very thorough job. Especially if you decide to really heal your whole body first. You will have to start listening to you body more than ever. No one else can do it or will do it for you.

Causes Of Diarrhea: Before you would look for a diarrhea treatment or a diarrhea remedy, you would first want to find out possible causes of diarrhea.

Acute Diarrhea. Everything you need to know about acute diarrhea treatment.

Traveler's Diarrhea. Surprised on your vacation? Or just want to prepare ahead of time? Read to know how to deal with Traveler's diarrhea.

Explosive Diarrhea. This is more of a descriptive term than a medical term. Read and learn about what to do for this type of diarrhea.

Diarrhea Treatment. Everything you need to know about diarrhea treatment and diarrhea remedies.

For years, doctors would write prescriptions for something to stop this symptom right away. That has changed.

Now, the idea is to let nature take its course and let the body get rid of the “invader”, unless there’s a bigger problem behind it.

The thought is that this problem would stop faster if you let the digestive tract cleanse itself without medications to actually stop it. The digestive system is efficient enough most of the time to get rid of the harmful "invaders".

Unfortunatelly, in Crohn's disease and in other autoimmune disorders the "attack" is on the digestive system itself.

Stop Diarrhea. The fastest and most effective ways to stop diarrhea.

Chronic loose bowel movements that just don’t go away can be a warning sign from your body. Like a red flag!!

For patients with Crohn's disease who have chronic diarrhea, it can become challenging to stop it. But it’s also a warning sign that the disease is not under full control. Make sure to tell your doctor that the symptom is still there and try to learn new holistic ways to incorporate into your traditional treatment.

Diet is an important part of holistic healing. You need to know that carbohydrates get absorbed faster and easier than proteins. Most of the time carbs won’t cause as much pain or diarrhea for patient with chronic inflammatory bowel problems.

But eating only carbs is not enough nutrition for the human body. Proteins are needed for strength. They are necessary to repair digestive tract. Or at least that's what most health care practitioners will tell you.

Treatment Of Chronic Diarrhea:

  • Try eating smaller meals and consider separating proteins from carbs. Pay attention to the grains you consume. Healthy bread should be whole grain and sprouted. Limit your grains to a minimum.
  • Check if you are lactose intolerant. Sometimes, patients with chronic diarrhea will suffer only until they switch the milk or stop it altogether.
  • Check if you have a gluten allergy or gluten sensitivity. Some patients change their diet to gluten free and immediately feel the relief.
  • Check your medications. Many medications can cause diarrhea as a side effect. Sometimes the only way to get rid of it is to change the medication causing it to similar effective medicine that does not cause diarrhes.
  • Drink plenty of good quality water like filtered water with minerals.
  • Don’t drink carbonated sodas. Old fashioned cola syrup that was used in the past for upset stomachs is not the same as 1 can of Coke with 10 teaspoonfuls of sugar inside.
  • Keep yourself hydrated and eat healing, anti-inflammatory foods like organic chicken soup. Avoid “gassy” vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, etc for now.
  • Try to eat less until symptoms subside. If you are really hungry try some bananas, organic blueberry preserves, black tea with organic bread toast, no butter please.

Chronic diarrhea should eventually stop if you treat the underlying problem.

In Crohn's disease, diarrhea usually happens during flare ups. Treating chronic diarrhea for most patients with an autoimmune disease would really be stopping the symptom. But the diarrhea cure is really getting to the root of the problem and getting rid of the cause.

Sometimes, the doctor will prescribe you Xifaxan. This is a medication that seems to be moderately effective. It’s indicated for traveler’s diarrhea but works for Crohns patients, too.

There is also a very known medication for diarrhea called Imodium (loperamide). It usually works fast for persistent diarrhea and stops the symptom but it's a last resort medication.

Natural Approach To Diarrhea Treatment:

When looking for diarrhea cures, take a more natural approach to chronic diarrhea treatment. You can try diarrhea remedies:

  • Probiotics are wonderful for restoring natural flora.

  • Slippery elm herb is recommended by many herbalists for comforting intestinal cramps.

  • Acupuncture works when treating diarrhea, but it takes time.

  • Avoid eating spicy, greasy and hard to digest foods like beans and peas.

  • Try homeopathic preparations when treating diarrhea by HEEl, Hylan, etc.

  • Digestive enzymes may help break down food proteins for easier digestion.

  • Try to avoid sugar, sweets and juices in your diet.

  • Activated charcoal may help with chronic loose bowel movement. But do not overuse it. Activated charcoal can cause constipation if you take too much of it.

Diarrhea Remedies:

You may want to try any of these natural diarrhea remedies:

  • Drink freshly squeezed pomegranate juice two to three times a day.
  • Mix 20 drops of agave juice with 1 tablespoonful of water and drink three times daily.
  • Mix 1 teaspoonful of rice with 7 cups of water. Boil until it is fully cooked. Drink warm liquid only. Drink about one third of glass every 2 hours.

Don’t forget to take care of the anal area when having chronic diarrhea. It’s very sensitive and easily irritated. Try not to use dry toilet paper, but use soft, wet tissues. Pat dry the skin with soft tissues and apply a very thin layer of organic moisturizer or Vaseline every time you use the bathroom to prevent serious irritation.

I wish you all to stay healthy!
